Delete your Lurni account

Lurni is operated by LURNI LTD. You can request deletion of your account and associated learning data here, even if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in. You do not need to reinstall Lurni or buy a subscription to make a request.

How deletion works

1. Request deletion without the app

Email us or use the contact form above. Say that you want to delete your Lurni account and associated data. Use your account email if you can; if you no longer have access to it, tell us so we can arrange another ownership check. We verify ownership before deleting anything. Do not send your password, sign-in codes, recordings or payment-card details. We will respond to your request within one month and explain any verification or lawful extension needed. Sending a request does not itself delete the account.

2. Delete from the Lurni app

Open Profile, then Account settings and Delete account. Choose Delete permanently now, or Delete in 30 days if you want a restore window. Confirm with the email code inside the app; do not send that code to support. The immediate option removes the account from our active account database without a restore window. The scheduled option disables normal account access and schedules permanent deletion; the confirmation shows the deletion date. Restore the account before that date if you change your mind.

3. What is deleted

Permanent account deletion removes your account profile, sign-in credentials and sessions, and linked learning records such as lesson answers and feedback, saved progress, notes, vocabulary and saved items. Profile photos and remaining uploaded recordings are queued for storage cleanup. You lose access to this account's learning history. When handling a deletion request sent here, we also review separate waitlist, contact and support records linked to you, and explain any lawful retention exception.

4. Records that may need to remain

Some purchase, tax, refund and dispute records, security and deletion-audit records, and email-suppression records may remain for legal compliance, fraud prevention or to honour your communication choices. Provider identifiers and hashed identifiers can still be personal data; they are not treated as anonymous merely because your account is gone. Restricted backup copies expire through the backup lifecycle. We explain any applicable retention exceptions when handling your request. App-store purchases are also subject to Apple's or Google's record-keeping obligations.

5. Cancel subscription renewal separately

Deleting your Lurni account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription and does not itself request a refund. Cancel renewal in the store where you subscribed to avoid further charges, including subscriptions bought on another device. You can still delete your account without cancelling first. Contact us if you need help identifying the billing provider; never send full payment-card details.
